Board of Directors

Amelia Marino is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who currently serves as the Head Women’s Track & Field Coach and Assistant Professor at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU). In addition to physical education courses, Amelia teaches basic human nutrition in the school of Nursing & Health Sciences. Prior to her role at IWU, Amelia served as the RDN at Westminster Village, a continuing care retirement community located in Bloomington, IL. Amelia’s work at Westminster Village encompassed the various facets of nutrition and dietetics, including medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education, and food service management. 

 

Amelia completed her undergraduate degree in Health Promotion & Wellness Management at Illinois Wesleyan University where she was a four-year varsity letter winner on the track & field team. After graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University, Amelia pursued a master’s degree in Food, Nutrition, & Dietetics at Illinois State University. She completed her degree with 1,200 hours of supervised practice through Illinois State’s Track 2 dietetic internship.  

 

Outside of dietetics, Amelia is passionate about her faith, family, and friends. She is an optimistic extrovert who loves exercising and spending time outdoors. In addition to serving on the board of Directors for One Hope Project, Amelia is a member of Bloomington Normal Young Professionals and the Central Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Amelia loves the Bloomington-Normal community and is excited to share in the mission of One Hope Project.
